Carole Schoettel, passionate about oil painting since the age of 15, left Casablanca at 16 to study art in Paris, before completing her training at the Casablanca School of Fine Arts, where she discovered contemporary Moroccan art. In 2000, she met Master Constantin Népo, who introduced her to the art of gold leaf, with which she created works in Tangier, Marrakech, and Casablanca. She continued her career by renovating cathedrals in Spain, then explored Balkan aesthetics in Belgrade. After exhibitions in Casablanca, she took her artistic flight in Dakar in 2008, captivated by African culture.
Returning to Morocco in 2011, she created "Casa-Pandor," an ode to Casablanca. After a period dedicated to her family and frescoes in Morocco, she returned to painting in 2022. In 2023 and 2024 Carole won the public's prize at the International Art Salon. She also received the EMERALD ARTYA AWARD for Artist of the Year 2023
